Larry Koester broke his wrist at the end of his run onboard his Shell Rotella T sponsored "Footloose" Mini-Rod tractor. With the front end in the air, the tractor hooked to the left, Koester had the front wheels pointed towards the end of the track, and when it came down, it jerked the steering wheel hard - breaking his wrist.
It happens so quick, you can hardly see it. At the end, in the slo-mo view, you can see when the wheel tosses his left hand up and out of the cockpit and into the rollbar.
The video of the actual run is not that great. I used a suction cup mount, (which I've used in Drag Racing many times...flung it down the dragstrip at 150+ mph.) Obviously, one of these tractors doen't bend and flex like you'll see in this video.
man, i can see the pain through the helmet
