@Aitreyas that is LKY's way of strengthening his position. The CEOs of those companies are his old friends whom he had given favours to, such as bringing them up the ranks. It became the point that they owe LKY their life success, so will listen to his instructions forever. All of them know LKY's wife personally. I will say he is talented in networking during olden days when there was no tech. But given the chance u will do it too. Humans team up to step on other humans.
