I love Joey Skaggs!! He's brilliant!

This is too funny. He was my instructor for two courses in 77 and 78 at SVA. Watching this video about him over 30 years later just cracks me up. Too funny.

The real scam is that Skaggs is attention-hungry and he's exploiting mainstream media's need for sensationalism. The media doesn't give a damn whether his hoaxes are real or not, they buy into his skits because it provides a couple of minutes of entertainment. Nobody "wakes up" to the real problems of mainstream media through these hoaxes.

you are incorrect in that a lot of the media people he duped were very, very upset for having bought his hoaxes. and they weren't scams, b/c he used actors. he didn't sell his "products". if you want to be scammed, go to the pharmacy

The real scam is that we're lied to all the time by politicians and other people who manipulate the system to meet their own end. What Joey's doing is showing how easy it is to do that in the hopes we'll way up and think more critically about the media we consume. He's brilliant.
