HAHA! I once ran about a hundred feet down a hill off the side of a trail in Canaan, Virginia to take a leak and ended up getting lost for about two hours. I had crossed two small runoffs as I headed down and didn't realize that as I came back up I was actually traversing a different slope. It was getting dark and the more I spun around looking for familiar points of reference, the more disoriented I became. After accepting an inevitable overnighter I discovered the trail again. Shit happens.
