There have been wars in the past that have cost a lot more.
That "900 billion dollar war" stuff is just propaganda to get people to stop supporting the war, just like soldiers killing innocents is frowned upon now but during many wars in the past, including WW2 killing people was a necessity to kill moral.
It's all propaganda just to bring down the enemy. We've recovered before, we'll recover again.
