Right now I'm working on starting a liveproject. This video is a first try, so I'm not doing _that_ much stuff live: starting and stoping drumloops, tweaking the x0xb0x,... thats it. I'm planning on improving all this in the future. This video is just a simple test if the setup runs stable enough for giging or not.

Here are some technical infos: The brain of it all is an Asus EEE PC 1003HAG running Ableton Live 8 (unfortunately I had to increase the latency a lot to get it to run good enough). Ableton plays 4 aduio tracks: track one has the bass part of the original tune in it, track two the synths, track three has a hats & snare drumloop and on track four you'll find a simple 4 to the floor beat. TFor starting and stoppping clips I'm using the Akai MPK49. The x0xb0x runs the pattern from it's internal sequencer, so it is synced via midi. The audio signal of the x0x is running through a MXR distortion pedal. The output of both Ableton and the x0x run into a Tapco mixing desk. That's all.

The video was recorded with a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28 Camera, the audio output was recorded with my desktop PC. The video and audio tracks were merged in Ableton Live 8.

Hope you like this one. Have a good time!

  • when the resonance is turned way up it sound´s like tweeting birds on E.

  • @GudmundurThor96 Yeah! I like that hi-resonance stuff since "higher state of conciousness".

  • Ok, where can I buy the Kit.

And do you get Intructions on how to build it.

And another question: Was it complicatet to build it??

  • Was it complicated to build? As I didn't have much soldering experience building this thing was no easy task. But if you stick to the manual and keep your workspace tidy (e.g. only taking out the parts you need to build the next step) its definitly possible, even for a beginner, to build this thing.

  • hey, where can I buy the x0x0b0x.

Sounds real good, would like to have one by myself.

  • The x0xb0x is comes as a kit, so you have to build it yourself. Try eBay if you want to buy finished ones.
