I finished both of my destroyers and decided to try a test run. It's impossible to tell from the video, but I won 2-1 against my brother. Please excuse the shaky video, my father filmed it, but he had forgotten his glasses and could barely make out the camera screen.
There are still some issues with the hit detection, the sensors I used work fine but are a pain to get dry after combat. I think I'll try something different before the ships sail again.
In the third battle, my brother's ship had a damaged rudder from running aground, and could only go straight or turn starboard ( I think). That made him an easy target, and it reminded us of how the Bismarck was sunk :-) .
The ships show a successful hit on all sensors by disabling the gun (no return fire) and lighting the smoke charge hidden in the forward smoke stack.
You can make ur ships look more like real.Just watch other videos ;-)Nice try for first time!!

Yes, I know. I've started building a HMS Rodney and a Graf Spee fitted with the same system. I hope they'll look better than the prototypes - those were really only test ships with no reference to real ships. My big ships will be finished around May 2012 - I hope.
