I did a ride yesterday in one. The pilot actually let me fly it for a bite. I cannot explain what it was like. The one I was in was built in 1941 and it was use by the Royal Canadian Air Force to train new pilot during the War.

this is awesome, ive always been curious what it would be like flying a biplane, and have a silent moment and thinka bout the pilots that went to war in these beauties.. no fear :)

Come to Galesburg Illinois each September for the National Stearman Fly-In and you will see 100 to 125 Stearman (I believe the largest gathering in the world). Breathtaking machines! I love them.

Thanks for the ride (flight), Chuck.

nice plane. thought biplanes were obsolete by 1940 though.

I was waiting for a loop-the-loop...
It would be slick if you could get an ride in an amphibious PBY and get some footage of landing in and taking off from water.

@dattomcat89 Get one to land in Lake Michigan on the shores of Chicago and I'll be there!
