@IDontHateOnCars 04 cobra has 2.66:1 1st, 1.78:1 2nd 130:1 3rd, 100:1 4th 80:1 5th and a 63:1 6th. The vette c5zo6 has 297:1 1st A 207:1 2nd, 143:1 3rd, 100:1 4th, 84:1 5th ! 56:1 6th. The only gear that the vette isn't set for a higher speed is 5th.

@Takeoverartist1987 If you wanna get technical a cobra has a way better 5th gear than a c5 or c6 ,it's a lot shorter than the corvettes 5th gear. They all have the same 4th gear 1.00 ,(1to1) cause they are tremecs. A cobra can stretch 4th gear to about 140 max same thing with a c5 and c5 z. Now a c5 z's 5th gear is slightly shorter than the cobra's at .84 while the cobra's is .80. A c5 z tops 5th at about 172 , and a standard c5 with a .74 5th can go over 180.

@Nicecardude100 Well yes of course. Pluse a mustang is a 4 seater( even tho we all know the back is almost worthless) but who really races to top speed? Maybe armatures but most don't. The mustangs gear ratio and final drive are more set up for a run to maybe 130 the corvette is more set for cruising and higher speeds. But hey when you put an ls7 on wheels and basically nothing else of course it will be fast

@Takeoverartist1987 The corvettes biggest advantage is it's weight distribution , it's about 51/49 compared to the cobra which has nearly 57 % up front, That's where launching, lateral grip, (g's) come in to play. Along with planting monster hp even at high speeds. A 600 wheel horse cobra can spin the tires at up to 100 with Hoosiers and Mickey Thompson fatties, I see it all the time, it simply comes from having 665 lb motor up front and not having a rear mount trans.

@Takeoverartist1987 I agree your are paying for the corvette name just a little bit, but that's a car that's meant to run with exotics costing way more than it does and with a Ferrari or Lambo, your paying a lot more for the name , you and I both know a corvette with the money in it you save of buying an exotic, can break worlds records and shit, just whip those Italian asses. Now a cobra can do the same but it has limited potential, and a camaro does as well.

@Takeoverartist1987 Yeah completely understand ya brother, The cobra can do a great job of running with a corvette for a little less money, however those cobra's need a lot more hp to make up for there weight and aero, a lot more, the cobra only has so much potential , compared to the corvette , the vette will plant 600rwhp a lot better ,it has more more top speed with a lot less hp and ,it handles a lot better , along with a slight mpg advantage .
