I lived in Calgary in '04 and Edmonton in '06, the Copper Mile or Blue Mile or whatever you wanna call it wasnt even close to the Red Mile for fun. Red Mile was just a bunch of happy people having a good time, whereas Whyte Ave was just an absolute gong show. Fires, fireworks, scraps...stay classy Edmonton.

Game 5? Are you talking about this year? It's an absolute joke now, as since the cops decided to crack down on it hard in '06, it just hasn't been the same. It's not even hockey fans anymore, just idiots that are there just to make asses of themselves.
In '04 it was so much different though. You seriously can't compare Red Mile '04 to Whyte Ave '06, I was at both. Whyte was soooo much rowdier. And I'm not just sayin that cuz Im a Flames fan, even Oil fans who went to both can tell you that.

That incident happen in 2004 actually. Yes Whyte was rowdier, but don't try and pretend that the red mile was a bunch of christians eating ice cream giving high fives.
