This is my cover of Larry Pattis' awesome arrangement of Jay Ungar's Ashokan Farewell. I first heard this tune as part of the soundtrack for the PBS special "The Civil War", which originally aired back in the 90's. I actually learned to play the violin parts on a wailing electric guitar, which I'm sure drove my folks nuts at the time. This version is much more pleasant!

Is your version available to download anywhere? The Soundclick links don't seem to work. If this was in iTunes, I'd give happily pay the $.99 or whatever. It's a nice cover, I like the slower speed.

@jedimacfan Glad you liked the recording/video. I forgot to update the links in the videos after taking down the soundclick page - fixed! I have several recordings posted to my DropBox account, mostly for friends and family to listen to & download, but anybody is welcome to them.

the motu mk3 is one of the audio interfaces that I have my eye on.
