Visual demonstration of my Synthesizers.com Modular(aka Dotcom or Arrick Synth) through an Pigtronix "Envelope Phaser" analog phaser & Boss DD-20 Digital Delay. I am using a cheap Madell QK5020 Oscilloscope in Lissajous mode. Lissajous mode requires two inputs, X & Y which were attached to my signal chain pre-effects & post-effects respectively. Check out the awesome waveforms that result....pretty trippy looking, eh?

  • Some of us express our feelings through waves.

    Sometimes you can visualize waves.

So can we see emotion in waves?

  • pass that joint :)

  • I need to get a scope to work on my Juno 106 synth...would you recommend the same oscilloscope you are using? I need to look at basic pulse widths, sine waves and so on. Thanks.

  • no, i would recommend getting any low speed analog scope off ebay, mine is pretty crappy in fact, i just own it because i got it for free, i would have never picked this specific one out for purchase given the choice

  • What kind of scope was used?

  • it was actually a really cheap-o Madell QK5020 that my boss was getting rid of so i got it for free!

  • where can i get one of those things? they be purty 83

  • from 0:20 to 0:29 that wave is really sexual

  • OH MY TRIPPY!

  • man after watching music waveforms for the last 10-15 min I totally understand why humans are so attracted to music. Line voltage waveforms are boring as hell compared to these. Quite amazing. I now know how milkdrop and other visualization programs work.

  • reminds me of the air and space museums demonstration in D.C.

  • beautiful. Thanks ;-)

  • good

  • sounds like the movie "wave twisters"

  • Reminds me of images of exploding stars.

  • what a terrible idea
