@all4pharlap the classic and the distaff but the distaff was renamed to the ladies classic so fillies can ride

It took me a few rewinds to see it. My friend was at the event. Denman never called it. Never mentioned it. Terrible announcer

I've always thought Pine Island bobbled or took a funny step around the 18 second mark as they near the grandstand turn- she breaks from post #2 and is near the rail...RIP Pine Island

She had an injury to his suspensory ligament, he had it fuesed back together. She`s doing good now, and is being used as a brood mare.

The Classic is the big one, with the 5 mil purse. The distaff (now called Lady's Classic) is for mares ages 3+. The others are for horses that specialize in those distances and/or turfs.
