Two Columbian Blacktail bucks have a somewhat playful sparring match in Northern California. At times it looks more serious and at other times it seems playful. Over seven minutes of action from these two.
If you look closely you will see two more does in the background under the trees. This was filmed in Late August of 2011, well before the usual rut period of October and Early November. This is not a battle for breeding rights, but a cervid "slap fight" where two young adolescent males size each other up.
