A JOLLY GOOD FURLOUGH (1943) Popeye is in the South Seas fighting the Japanese. Twinkletoes (the bird from the Max Fleischer animated feature Gulliver's Travels) delivers his furlough papers, and Popeye decides to visit his four nephews and Olive Oyl on the home front. But at home, Olive is too busy for him, and his nephews make life so hectic that he goes back to the war. It is also notable for it's use of racial epithets and racial stereotyping of the Japanese.
