My reef aquarium at 2 months.
Tank specs:
72"Lx18"Wx18"H
Equipment specs:
45 Gallon Refugium with Macroalgae
Refugium lighted with 2x96W power compacts at 6700K, 14 hour photoperiod
Kent marine Nautilus EX skimmer with 1050 GPH GenX pump
Return pump is a GenX 1600GPH pump at about 3 head feet, actual flow of approximately 1300GPH
Hamilton Technologies 72" Metal Halide fixture
Lighting: 3x175W MH at 14000K, 2x32W T8 Actinic tubes, 72" LED strip with 54 high intensity blue LEDs at 475nm (Digikits.com)
Additional flow in aquarium is generated by a single Seio Prop driven powerhead at 1591GPH

@sirtubemaster No but he did become a nuisance by eating hermits, so he has been moved to the refugium.

@OreChasm That is a yellow sponge colony. If you have lots of them, good for you. Means that you have lots of planktonic food in your tank. If they get out of control they may start to take up all the natural food sources and your corals could slowly starve. Ultimately though, the fact that they are growing well is a good sign.

Hey... nice tank. Got a question. How's that Kent Nautilus EX skimmer? Is it anygood? I'm about to purchase EX-30 model and couldn't find any good reviews anywhere.... thanks a bunch....

@pyekhine To be honest, it is sort of a pain and doesn't perform as well as I'd hoped.
