Must be a studio version . . . Absolutely FAR-OUT killer first cut on the album - - - Got this when I was 19 and played the fuckin album DAILY until my neighbors moved out . . . The bassline was making their fish jump in the tank. Sounds like bullshit but its the truth . . . Killer bass, drums, keyboards, and oh the guitar . . . Ultimate party tune.

Huge influence in the rock-world.Especialy with musicians.A little under the radar in the commercial field. But history will proclaim their position,as people discover "rocks roots".SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD NAME FOR A BOOK?

The albums of Deep Purple that are a must.... 1. In Rock 2. Machine Head 3. Made in Japan 4. Fireball..... Period !
The machine head album and Highway Star were popular my Junior year but my favorite album of all time was "In Rock" . In Rock had " Child In Time" Speed King" and all the other song on the album were all fresh with a drivin beat. Lokk at what these five guys did with an organ. These guys were Rock and Roll in high gear.
