I am studying Music Therapy at Seattle Pacific, and I also received my first tattoo this summer. I got my tattoo in a means of reconciliation with my past, to put it behind me, and to remind myself that God is ALWAYS there if I turn to him in faithful submission. As a future therapist, I think this is such a beautiful way to contribute to any healing process. Well done.

This is so awesome, I am breast cancer survivor as well. I have had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, I plan on one day doing the same. It is very soothing to see them "go away" and get replaced with something beautiful. It has been 4 years for me but I still hate looking at them everyday. So I can't wait to have them covered with beautiful images.

This is beautiful on one level, and alarming to me on another. Radical mastectomy often comes with lymphatic problems. Even getting a shot in an arm can cause an edema to develope. Having tatoos put over the area could potentially do the same thing. Love the self esteem boost, issue with edema can also cause self esteem problems, as well as life threatening infections.
