thanks for posting this vid Dan! I've been making apples these past few weeks for a salt firing and i'm just now starting to experiment with other sorts of fruits... pears anyone? ;)

The Apple is an excellent idea for a bank, and the lid idea for a storage pot. A set of various sizes; you have canisters. How about some dents in the side, then you have a Pumpkin! Add a little leaf by the stem for an additional touch...

Would it work to cut the top quarter-ish off, to make a lid so you can put things inside once fired?
