The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce is working with member realtors and the South Carolina Realtors Association to correct the over-taxation of people buying homes, commercial and industrial properties. Assessors are failing to document the discounted value of the properties at the time of sale, thus causing the buyers to pay more taxes than they should.
