Breaking Down Homo-phobia Through Photography

http://kck.st/ay4WsG As a photographer, I pride myself on making people think when they look at my images. I am a LGBT activist and want to break down stereotypes and judgments by showing the world how beautiful the love between two women or two men can be, I want to show the strength and courage that it takes to transition and I want to show how sexy female masculinity can be.

I want to get a gallery show up and running to showcase these photographs in a public setting to spread my "Love is Love" campaign.

The money will be used to purchase lighting equipment and to cover print costs, mattes and frames. The more money I can raise, the larger I can make my collection and the more I can spread this campaign of acceptance.

If possible, I would like to create three separate gallery shows.

"Love is Love" - Showcasing LGBT couples as the loving entities that they are. Each and every couple is different. Some couples are stoic and serious, some are adoring and playful, some have children and families, some are career driven. I want to showcase the unique dynamic within each coupling to make people see how beautiful our loves can be.

"A Femme's Perspective" -- I want to showcase just how sexy female masculinity can be, from a femme's point of view, of course. The sexuality of butches, genderqueers, studs and FtM's is highly underrated, I want the whole world to see them as I do. (Although biologically female, hence "female masculinity," gender is not synonymous with biology.)

"Transitioning" -- I want to showcase the strength and courage that it takes to transition from male to female, or from female to male.
