The best known diver on the Honduran island of Utila is Gunter. He arrived in Utila in the 1970's. Since then he has logged thousands of dives on the coral reefs of the Caribbean Sea.
Gunter is also known for his many stories related to the underwater world. One of them is about the day when he was bitten by a nurse shark.
In addition to his work as a dive guide, Gunter produces jewelry, paintings, souvenirs and island maps.
In his native Austria Gunter was a talented alpine skier, but for obvious reasons he has not done any skiing in Utila.
Gunter's Underwater World is a short version of a longer tv / dvd documentary about Gunter.
