Chris Drobnock, Roy Holm, and assorted students gather for the lighting of the anagama (5th century asian-styled wood kiln originally built by Jack Troy) at Juniata College.

Roy reads an excerpt from a writing by Anne Dillard and Chris gives a little insight into the kiln and presents a small ceremonial offering of salt, rice, and sake.

Thanks to Bethany Benson, professor of 3D arts at Juniata, for letting us fire!

  • I'll start this off by saying that I appologise for the audio but, we did the best we could for the time we were doing it in. Otherwise enjoy it for what it is.
