Ace Combat X2 Joint Assault - Mission 14 - Dragon Lair (SP) Ace

This is the second mission in the 4th set of Joint Assault missions. You attack the Balaur, a giant railgun. This is the railgun that shoots are you if you are in Mission 13. If you've played Ace Combat Zero this is essientially the same level except there are a lot more enemies you have to deal with before the Balaur.

If you're in red then you're dead. Simply fly out of it and you'll be fine. Further you are from the cannon the harder it is to get out of the path. To get an S rank on this mission is point based dependent. My point ranking was 10780Points. So aim for that.

This ace spawns near the very beginning of the level, within the first minute, in the SW corner. It's a stealth fighter so if you're not looking in that general direction you won't see it on radar. Easy Ace to get seeing as how the mission is point based, which this guy is worth almost 1000 points. Just be mindful of the giant railgun shooting at you.

Yadilie I have questions

1. Why is the voice a girl instead of Michael Arena?

2. How do you unlock the GAF-1 Varcolac in the PSP?

3. I am having a really hard time in this mission so could you tell me some aircraft that suits this mission very well so that I don't have to use my SU-27.

1. Didn't really care so just chose one of the operators.

2. I want to say beat the game on Hard but not sure about many of the unlock requirements.

3. Any plane can do for this mission. Although the faster the better so you can get out of the line of fire ASAP. Besides that just try your best to avoid the SAMs around the giant cannon and try not to ram into it like I do every now and then.

i have barely or no sound in this game, especialy when airborne or after missions xD, just missile alerts , any help ?

Try restarting your PSP when it happens. It's happened to me a few times where sound will just cut off. No one talks or anything.

Depends on what you like. I'm a huge Ys fan so I would recommend trying out Seven. Valkyria Chronicles 2 is a great game, you can check out my channel for videos pertaining to it.

Use a plane with SOD or LASM to accomplish this mission. I used my F-15S/MTD loading the SOD because if you go to close, the gun will kill u

This looks like a remix version of Excaliber. Same tactics should apply, right?

i love doing this mission because destorying the railgun with an atomic missle is the easiest way to do it in ace mode

I wonder why you dont use the Fenrir,it has SWBM (Shock Wave Ballistic Missile) on this mission,it's useful...
