These two pieces come from the last page of the 1858 Phil Rice Method. The first one "Unsworth's New Jig" bears the name of a minstrel musician of this era, also to have the song "Unsworth's Giggle Toot" published in the Buckley 1860. The second piece is an arrangement by a young Frank Converse. I feel the elements of musical theatre in this one. I would like to have seen the accompanying action with this song.
