This song was written and produced by Smokey Robinson for the Temptations. Rare Earth released a single cover version of Get Ready in 1970. It is a very cool version. It was their first release on the Motown label and it reached #4 on the US pop chart. In their live shows they played a 21 minute version in which each member of the band performed a solo. This tune brings back memories when I was a teen as I used to drum to this song quite a bit once I got hold of the 45 record. I always admired Pete Rivera for both his drumming and singing abilities. This video is intended for the purposes of education, comparison and critiquing.
