@ch3rrybl0ss0m19 I think you'll find the unicomp customizer is closer to the IBM model M...mostly due to the fact its the same exact thing with a different name.
and alps white switches are a lot more like buckling springs than any of the Cherry MX switches.
seriously read up at geekhack dot com

Still waiting for a hd version of your Ads ^_^
Now with the presence of the Trulyergonomic, the 'future' Datadesk smartboard 2, the Typematrix 2030 and your Kinesis Contoured... may be it's time for Kinesis to think about a Freestyle 2 with a matrix layout for the keys...
Think about it and we will have another real ergonomic keyboard on the market ;-)
Yes the actual Freestyle is great I know but...

This is the best and only keyboard that I've been able to use for almost 3 years now! I just got a new PC and Windows 7 and it won't work in the pre-windows boot stage and therefor it's not detected automatically by Windows. It is detected (and works) if you unplug it and plug it back in again, while in Windows but undetected again, if you turn the PC OFF/ON. Is there an updated driver that might work for Windows 7? The USB keyboard that comes with my PC works 100%.

Does Kinesis make a wireless keyboard?

Yes,
like hot cakes to baby boomers, their children, and their grandchildren!

I can no longer use the old Northern Alps keyboard, because of shoulder and neck arthritis...so I type much more slowly on the clunky Microsoft 7000.
Your split keyboards with the optional additions, lack the double-tactile/double-click (very light, inviting the lightest touch possible for faster typing with many less mistakes. The original IBM desktop keyboards, and the Wang word processor keyboards were all Alps
Will someone, (AT LAST!) put these two ideas together?

Hum the Datadesk Smartboard use High-quality positive feedback mechanical key switches...
The Freestyle utilizes a quiet, low-force, tactile membrane key switch. Rated at 10 million operations the Solo will provide years of comfortable typing.
Ok I like copy/paste fonction ^_^

hmmmmmm... and i thought the 10-degree curve was a good thing? Like the Logitech Wave?
It can be as long as 10-degrees is the right amount for you. However, since there is no adjustability with the Logitech, the chances of that being the case for you and most users is unlikely. The Freestyle is designed to adjust to YOUR individual needs for neutral arm and hand positioning.

Superb but a little expensive...

Compared to its competition, the Freestyle offers more features and adjustability options for individual needs...but at a reduced price.
