Ashkenazy was such a fantastic pianist at the time this was recorded. Remember this was a live recital. I have so much respect for this truly great man.

@EmptyVee00000 I don't like this performance either and that has nothing to do with robotic play or not. I miss the singing and lyric tone that Rubinstein has for example. Furthermore I think he has an exaggerated detail work and the "big context" is often "torn into pieces". The third thing I don't like is that his playing is not "juicy" but rather "dry".
