Hi and thanks for the tutorials. It should be mentioned, that the hf s20 has 10x OPTICAL zoom, which does NOT affect the quality of the footage. As long as you do not activate the digital zoom, you will be fine. Via touch to focus, you can focus on objects that are farther away really easily without zooming in AND while using AF

I think the LCD screen works best...The dial is a bit weak..I also use peaking w/ red high lites in B&W...the focus assist function you are talking about I rarely use...Helpful video...hanks for sharing....

Yea, it is possible to get some super nice closeup shots with this function. New tag line "Get Tubed!".. I don't know.
