Animated clock meant to mimic a real clock going through a five minute time sweep. Developed with Gimp (see http://gimp.org) and GAP (Gimp Animation Package). Finalized in avidemux (see http://avidemux.org ) This is a test to see how this video makes it through the youtube conversion process.

Update: This converted quite nicely. I was concerned the conversion might affect the clock animation accuracy, but it did not.

  • You wasted 23 seconds of my time plus whatever time it took to make this comment. Congratulations.

  • @PowerFusionX really? Just 23 seconds? Awww, come back and watch the full five minutes please. 23 seconds is not really a waste of time, ya gotta do the full five minutes and then you can say you wasted your time. Heh, seriously though, thanks for giving me 23 seconds and thank you for commenting. As a side note, if you like creating animations, learning to do this (I use Gimp Animation Package), including making all the watch parts, is a good exercise to try. Have a good one.

  • I just think it's funny that you did it. Setting the framerate, moving the hands (I hope you only did one cycle of the second hand and copied the sequence five times!!!

  • @victordemise all of the automated parts were made using GAP (Gimp Animation Package). After creating the basic parts in Gimp, I just input the beginning and ending positions and let the computer calculate all of the in between frames. And you are correct, for the second hand sweep, that basic sequence was simply copied and repeated five times. Thanks for commenting.
