w/the success of machida using karate in MMA, i think bagua works perfectly in the cage! first strikes, counters, and footwork work in any combat situation! i think your grappling and conditioning (and chin??) are going to be the test! but. machida never gets touched! get in that weight room and get that weight up, bro! !!! good luck and Allah's blessings!
Good luck with the fight. I live and train Kung Fu in CPH, DK, and we have several MMA fighters knocking the s*** out of their opponents in the cage, so it can definitely be done. Great set of skills you got there. J
I am lucky to have training brothers & friends like Richard Garcia , Peter Storm that are MMA practitioners which some of them have fought in the cage so they share with me they wealth of knowledge, which had help my understanding of MMA fighting tactics and in return has help my own skill develop in my style improve as an fighting art.
For about a two years now I been sparring a lot with a few MMA & BJJ fighters on the east side of Harlem in the cage , so I guess word got around about a kung fu guy sparring in a cage why these guys wanted to do this interview on MMA Confidential. But I far from being any BaGua master, I'm just a bagua practitioner..lol
