OK so let me get this right: this was John Cleese's first role in a 007 film, the two others being in The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, correct?

This parody on the 007 secret service flicks is brilliant; shame that the Pythons did not make something like The Life of Brian or the Holy Grail out of it, as they are usually better when they tell a whole story, one can see this as well at the Scotland-Alien-Wimbledon episode; but these short jests promise much but are all too soon over! But how can someone create a thing like a pantomime horse?
