This is one way I Heat Form Acrylic Glass. I have used this technique for years with sizes up to 16 inches in diameter.

  • Have you ever tried vacuum forming?

  • @zeusvalentine I've done some Vacuum forming. It works well when you want a smooth shape with both concave and convex areas. For these lenses this method works great and give it a real organic feel.

  • you say you can heat these things with a propane torch too? I have only ever burned my plexi that way - what is your secret? indirect heat?
