av3k is awesome, yes, but Cypher i think is even or surpassed him at least with all the events since Quakecon.

strafing is older than vq3. it was in q2 in essentially it's current form, and the advanced style bunnyhopping of quakeworld > strafejumping anyway.

@joyfulvulture Maybe he was adament that cypher was low by now after all the spawn damage and he didn't want an overtime perhaps. But cypher had great lg aim and was ready for him dropping down.

He's got an aimbot, yet he does not have one loaded on the quake3.exe. That's how fucking good Cypher is.

@mvp69ddis If he let him have the mega, he would have like 10% chance of getting the next frag - cypher would have all weapons, all armors...it would take a long time to kill him, and probably a lot of tries. Since it would be overtime, all that would matter is the next frag. Had there been an overtime of 5 minutes and not sudden death, not going for the mega would be possible, but in this case av3k's choice was just fine.

@mvp69ddis ehm... 1, he had a lightning gun, you can clearly see that... he also picked up ya which you can hear. So he had about 110 life + 50 armor which is together 160, lightning gun. Cypher had 56 life + 59 armor, together 115. Av3k had 45 more life, but had to jump down and be easily hit while falling. Still, if I had to bet, before he jumped down I would say his chances of killing cypher would be at least like 40%.

@OMFGO av3k also had just died and had no weapons so with just a machine gun, falling down on someone with a lightning gun, that's always dumb and unnecessary unless the health advantage is so significant that you won't just put yourself in a hard spot by doing so.

@crbb0 Not really stupid to jump down. He had about 60 more life.

Cypher has an advantage that av3k was jumping down, but av3k still aims really good, so with a 60health advantage he should have got the frag imo. Av3k was unlucky that he hit shit, and that he missed the mega.

If he let him get mega, cypher would own him at ra, or av3k would let him have it an stay in a really big disadvantage.

Good chances for both, but av3k had a better one in this last one. Just unlucky imo.
