I just saw the M*A*S*H episode named "Dear Dad...Three", which mentioned Dr. Drew and I immediately became interested in this great man. Although the episode deals with racism and Hawkeye and Trapper tell a soldier of how Dr. Drew died in 1950 of bleeding to death after a car accident because the hospital was for whites only, I am reading now that this story simply is not true and that he received the best care they could give him. Does anyone know the real story?
