if this is the same Geiser I am thinking of it was built by the Geiser eqp. company in Waynesboro PA. I knew Bob Geiser grandson to the man that built those engines. Frick company which has many engines still running was also in Waynesboro and was across the street. The 2 companys were friendly competitors and even had a shared live line in a tunnel under the street so if either company had an engine failure they could both keep runing . The Frick company had a diesel engine /Geiser had steam

Why settle for one factor when you can have both! (Made in Britain)

@caterpillarnut The coal was pretty good, but the engine had been sitting idle so long that there were bare spots on the grate, and just some lumpy bits of fire here and there. When the decision to plow was made, there was no time to do anything but cover the holes and wait for the steam to come back up. Looks bad, but keeps the tubes from leaking. Look at the videos of the plowing with 20 plows, the stack is perfectly clear, even when pulling hard.
