out standing wow can you say how much the total in cost was? again a great video
-
Love your video. It's now Feb/2012, have you tried any upgrades yet?
-
can you use solar panel on the roof of the car to charge it ?
-
Repainting the car from black/midnight blue would increase battery life a hell of alot since the heat from the sun also drains battery life,
What type of batteries have you tried & what were their general range on the EV?
-
Turn the DRL's off, that'll be less of a system drain. I've got mine off, an no one has ever run into me after 10 years.

Yes, the lead acid battery pack has been replaced with a lithium pack. This doubled the energy storage capacity and cut the weight in half.

Also what kind of couplers do you use to charge it?
PhantomDaydream 9 months ago
@PhantomDaydream The car is actually green, it just looks black on the video. I'm using sealed lead acid batteries -- but am switching to lithium. I'm not sure what you mean by couplers, but the sealed lead acid batteries were being charged with dual pro multi-bank chargers onboard. This setup was too heavy and inefficient.

Awesome job
how many hours between battery charges , whats the top speed and distance ?
dahduke 1 year ago
@dahduke Top speed is 55 mph, range is about 30 miles, charge time is 8 hours. The main problem is the battery pack. I am considering the lithium options.
