We're Gonna Groove,
Dazed and Confused,
Heartbreaker,
Bring It On Home,
White Summer / Black Mountainside,
Organ solo / Thank You,
What Is and What Should Never Be,
Moby Dick,
How Many More Times (medley incl. Boogie Chillen', My Baby Left Me, That's Alright Mama, Honey Bee / "Lemon Song"),
Whole Lotta Love.

This performance in this show is rather mediocre compared to others during this era and also married with rowdy audience and equipment problems. After a rather flaccid We're Gonna Groove, where Plant's microphone cut out half way through the song, he apologizes and explains: "We've only had this PA for three nights." The PA cuts out again several times in the show. Since I've Been Loving You was dropped from the set list and the organ solo is very short. How Many More Times contains a sharp version of Ravel's Bolero and That's Alright and My Baby Left Me are played together (makes sense since they are the same song). Plant tries all night to get the crowd "loose" and they do when they play their hit Whole Lotta Love (probably what most of the audience came to hear).

I am so glad I finally figured out where to go to relive my first concert experience. OH MY GOD!
I was just a young teen and had no idea what a show I was about to experience. With the recent reunion in London I started to reminisce about the show so long ago.
My girlfried Eva and I were there and were blown away by this performance. Since it was 37 years ago my memory fades but I do remember crying during parts of the show I was so moved. We all rushed the stage towards the end ( I lost my shoe, had to explain that one to my Dad) These nice young men offered to put Eva and I on their shoulders in the front and I was probably only 10 feet away from the band. That was the good ole days when security was at a minimal and you could get up close to the band. I wish I could remember more; all I know is what a FIRST CONCERT experience. I've lost touch with Eva so I have no one to share this with. I do not know one single person who attended that concert.

  • Thanks, it's just cool being alive while such a legend dominates racing! Sort of like I wish I could've been around to see zeppelin perform in the 70's.
