We report a portable and low-cost microscope aimed at tackling global health problems. The microscope is based on partially coherent in-line holography along with multiframe pixel super-resolution algorithms to achieve micrometer-level resolution and a very large field-of-view (~24mm^2).
Malaria parasites in standard blood smears are imaged using this device to demonstrate the potential it holds for real world applications.
