@ZMM329 actually no; taiwan is not in the UN. it's the only democratically governed sovereign state that's excluded from the UN and many other international organizations

Taiwan is a independent country.Taiwan is not a part of P.R.China.
In 1945 Japan was defeated WW2,Taiwan mainland,Penghu Islands,Matsu Island,Kinmen Island returned Chinese Nationalist Party in Taipei.Japan have never returned it to Chinese Communist Party in Beijing.

The point of this video is obviously to raise domestic awareness regarding the issue of Taiwan's UN membership in Taiwan.
And seeing as its target audience is the Taiwanese populace, it makes sense to put it in Taiwanese - rather than a UN official language that people in Taiwan don't speak. Duh.

Don't know that's the point of this. If it's aimed at UN, at least use a UN official language like Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish
