A Debate with Jose Silva Leader and Founder of Silva Mind Control ( Dr. George DeSau Psychologist and Graduate of Silva Mind Control) DEBATE John Weldon and Dave Hunt on the John Ankerberg Show.

Silva Mind Control History

Silva began developing the method; formerly known as Silva Mind Control, in the 1940s before launching it commercially in the 1960s.[1][2]. It developed out of Silva's conviction that the thoughts and actions of 90% of the world's population were governed by the the left hemisphere of their brain; limiting them using only logical, intellectual, objective means of problem resolution. Silva believed that by training people to think with both the right brain hemisphere as well as their left they could access information stored at a subconscious level. [1][2] According to Skeptical author Robert Carroll, the Silva method appears to be based on the work of Roger Wolcott Sperry, but with Silva's own twists in it that make it an inaccurate model. [1]

  • @MayonR Scrutiny and research should start with the Bible itself.

  • @MayonR What on EARTH are you talking about. The writers all come from the Jewish monotheistic tradition which insists total adherence to its precepts to the exclusion of other ideas and sources of information. THAT IS SUFFICIENT to create a sense of bigotry toward other practices and belief systems. It is really that simple. You are claiming some pre-existent knowledge that guided their statements. Yeah - it was a simple command. Do only what you have been taught to do within the faith.

  • @jimboedwardlee Because there is nothing making that implication when we look at anything historical pertaining to it. If you examine the writers there are details in the deeper symbolism that even they didn't fully understand since it was revealed later. This adds to the fluidity of it yet they had not known each other since they were from different nations and times. The Bible implores us to scrutinize and research.

  • @MayonR I often wonder why people cannot see that the Bible writers had their own vested interest in forbidding alternative ways to gain knowledge and insight. No one likes competition. Has that ever crossed your mind, or are you childlike in your trust of the Bible and its writers.

  • @jimboedwardlee They would explain it by saying all innovation is of the devil!!

  • Call everything demons...thats the way to always be right! Demons, Demons, Demons!!! Id love to know how many cases of proven demon possession have come out of those who have taken Silva Method. And I dont mean mentally unbalanced people who may become paranoid by the teachings of people like Hunt et al, I mean actual validated cases of Demonic possession by the established church authorities or spiritual/psychological experts. THATS the litmus test, not Hunt et al's interpretation of scripture.

  • AMEN :)

  • @Sezmonz Thank YOU

  • @jimboedwardlee This is not innocent innovation or imagination. The admission was made of the use of spirit guides which is strictly spoken against in Scripture. So it's not a matter of not being able to explain it since Christianity has defined this as evil and has litmus test to be able to test if these are Scriptually acceptable or not.

  • How do these Christian guys -- explain human innovation. Innovation is based upon human creativity? Here is one thing for certain: When it comes to Christian fundamentalists - anything that they cannot explain - they often attribute to Evil/Satan/Demonic. In fact, scientific innovations such as radio, TV, and cars were often seen in the past as evil by Christian fundamentalists. I believe that Christian fundamentalists and apologists are very unreliable in their approach to knowledge
