Ahoy thar me hearties! T'day be September 19th, International Talk Like A Pirate Day! An' so, t' celebrate the holiday, I, the Terrible and Merciless Christopher Vincent DeNicolia, Lord 'o The Seven Seas, created this magical routine, arrrrr! Fer now, I simple be callin' it, "The Talk Like A Pirate Day Card Trick"!
Avast, I not be much fer storytellin' magic, as ye can no doubt tell from th' performance, which also be a little lackin', seein' as how I only came up with this a few hours ago, but fer Talk Like A Pirate Day, I figured, what th' hell? If ye have a problem, ye can kiss me unbathed pirate ass!!
This be a tale of the terrible pirate, Cap'n Jack the Spade, and his escape from that saucy wench, the Queen o' Hearts, her two Ace detectives, and her prison guards, the Joker Brothers! Will Cap'n Jack be able t' escape the Bicycle Box Prison? Arrr, see fer yerselves!
And me hat is off to the creators of International Talk Like A Pirate Day, the Pirate Guys, Cap'n Slappy an' Ol' Chumbucket! Ye can sail to their website, http://www.talklikeapirate.com fer more information. They also have a YouTube Channel, http://www.youtube.com/OfficialWench where ye can learn th' basics o' pirattitude!
Arrr, I be promotin' this holiday all across the seas, wherever me ship may sail! A fine holiday, this be!
One last thing b'fore I be sailin' off, this routine includes the Ellusionist effect Waving the Aces, and a variation on Jay Sankey's Prison Break. Arrr, fine magic men they be, and Mad Jay Sankey be one o' me heroes!
Avast, ye best not let me catch ye not talkin' like a pirate on September 19th, else I be havin' yer head mounted on me wall! An' as the Pirate Guys say, be sure'n spread the good word, and that word is ARRRR!!!!!
haha it was a decent trick, but presentation was a bit off, i think you had to think too hard about the accent.

Heheh, I'll agree with that. My throat got pretty sore too...
But I think the biggest problem is that I came up with the whole routine early that morning!

also when doing big tricks like this, think more of making one or two tricks look big and epic and have a big presentation for them... as opposed to throwing like 12 different sleights into one giant trick like you did. Seemed like there was too much going on. The simplest magic is typically the best!

That usually is my approach, but this was intended to be more of a story piece, with some magic happening along the way...which is not really my style, but for Talk Like A Pirate Day, I figured, what the hell?
