Książka opowiada o chirurgu plastycznym, który trzyma w zamknięciu w swoim mieszkaniu piękną Ewę. Kim jest tajemnicza kobieta? Jakie stosunki łączą ją z lekarzem? Prawda okaże się bardziej szokująca niż najśmielsze przypuszczenia. O Tarantuli krytycy pisali, że to Markiz de Sade i Jean-Paul Sartre w jednym, więc thriller Skóra, w której żyję na jej podstawie, ma szansę stać się jednym z najbardziej szokujących filmów w dorobku Almodóvara.
W rolach głównych wystąpią: Antonio Banderas, jeden z ulubionych aktorów hiszpańskiego reżysera oraz Elena Anaya, która ma szansę stać się nową muzą Almodóvara. W obsadzie filmu znajdą się też m.in. I think this movie is about a doctor, who invented the way to create human flesh to fix people's wounds very fast. Then there is a creep (who lick the TV like a pervert), he's responsible for the death of many women he raped, than the doctor (Antonio) trying to stop him & found out that his Boss (The old lady with blond hair) betrayed him. So, this fight is only him alone & revenge of the girls he saved.
