  • You're amazing!! You're getting a killer tone out of your Variax AND you play and sing extremely well. James would be proud. Speaking of James... have you seen the clip of him playing his Variax at the Obama inaguration? It's very cool.

  • Thanks a lot. You're no slouch yourself. Great harmony stuff. Who are those guys you're singing with? Really tight. Keep up the good work.

    Rick

  • Well thank you! Most of my vids I'm singing with my brothers. (the CSN stuff) The Poco tune, well, those are obviously my identical triplets. :-)

I hope to get some stuff up with my Variax soon. I'm curious - which acoustic model did you use here?

    -Gerald

  • Hey Gerald,

I believe I'm using the dreadnaught patch on the Variax. I turn the tone control all the way counterclockwise to brighten it up and then EQ in the bottom a little. Some good reverb and you're ready to go. Have fun with the new guitar. I'm sold on it and I'm using the Variax for everything now, including rock stuff with a 'surf' band. Check out serfvids on youtube for something really different.

  • Holy crap...who are you? I've seen all of your videos and it's easy to see that you are in a league of your own. If you're not already in Nashville, you need to pack your bags today!!! Need to comment on your sound quality also...AWESOME!!!

  • Nicest compliment I ever got. Much appreciated. I'm just a guy in Maine making a living creating music. I got no complaints.

  • Really nice vocal cover. Beautiful recording as well !

  • Very musical, great introduction on guitar, indeed a fine composition,I like James Taylor very much there's always this quality to his work that sophistication in harmony and melody. You captured it very good with your devotion to Music, really enjoyed your quality vocal and guitar-work,greetings Vic.

  • Congratulation on a really great singing and playing!

The reverb was nicely set to give that dreamy legato between the guitar and voice... it almost sounded that you had other people playing with you. I loved it!

Thanks for sharing! One day... I must learn some finger picking... :~)
