You can close them a bit easier if you have the handle with the spring going straight down in to the handle towards the thumb and the side with the long arch down in to the handle towards your fingers.
Also, try moving your thumb more forward as you set the gripper.
That gives you more leverage.
Nice grippers, I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail. :D
