  • Sungha must learn to PERFORM on stage. He simply must draw in his audience with eye contact . He plays so brilliantly but now if he can just work on his PERFORMING....the "IT" factor as Simon Cowell calls it. This is not meant as any offense, but simply a hope to see him TOUR THE WORLD. One simply has to listen to the lackluster applause at the end to KNOW he must draw the audience in.

    Hi, mate!

    I need to fill you up with some details. Hope you don't think this is anything offensive. Cause it's not.

    1) Sungha is, atleast as I watched him and as well as when I talked to him, a very shy person. But I think, that when he's playing he forgets everything else and lives in his own universe with the guitar.

    2) He is 13½ years old. All though not unexperienced, that might have some influence.

    3) It was not the largest audince in here. And to applauce loudly and..

  • @Nashcountryboy

    ...wild is just not a part of the culture here when listening to fine-art music.

    You should have heard the end applauces when he was done. They weren't all that quiet. If you know what I mean. ;-)

    I do admit that he lacks the connection to the audience, but give him time to grow and it will come. You'll see. =)

    And I don't think eye-contact is what you expect from someone perfoming this kind of fingerstyle. I'd say it's the bodylaunguage that counts.

    My Regards

  • dude I love this song. never knew sungha played it

  • @mxgzn Watch Sungha play the Beatles "Day Tripper" at Tommy Emmanual's concert here on Youtube and you will see a DIFFERENT Sungha. Oh and you will see the PERFORMER that Tommmy Emmanuel IS!

  • @mxgzn As someone who has watched EVERY video Sungha has ever made since he was a small boy and reading the interviews he has made, he has stated that he wants to tour the world and he emulates jake shimabukuro, Tommy Emmanuel, and other world-renowned PERFORMERS, I am simple stating the ovbious. To sell concert tickets as the type of PERFORMER that Sungha has stated he WANTS to be, he will need to step up his game. He does NOT want to be some stuffy classical guitar player at a recital.

  • @Nashcountryboy I fear that if Chopin or Bach were alive today they would be dismissed for superficial stuff like "not having the factor" or "no eye contact".

  • Who gives a fuck if he's missing some things. That's why it's a god damn cover and not the song done by the mamas and the papas. Cover you do it your way.

  • GOOD BOY KEEP IT UP

  • :X:X:X::X:X:X:X:X::XX:X::X:X:X:x;x;

  • you people are pathetic....hes a musician not a rock star, hes doing HIM and his words come from his playing, thats the joy of music, he's amazing. prodigy. Do you damn thing Sungha jung!!! pure talent. awesome. keep being YOU.
