NOTE: 7/23, I feel kinda stupid here. Just noticed that iMovie 09 has some animation effects also. Not quite as versatile as Fotomagico 3 but definitely works also.
Having a version of Fotomagico 2 I bought -- I was curious about the new release of Fotomagico 3 which theoretically does the Ken Burns effect on video footage (not just animation on still photos). Sounded interesting but when I went to their site I didn't see any sample footage. Maybe it is there but I did not find it. So - what the heck. I downloaded their demo and threw some HD video into it and voila! It does seem to work with video. Presents some interesting possibilities though I have to think this one through. Anyway -- a very quick test. I'm certainly not an expert on all the things this software can do. But I'm thinking if you have a crappy tripod and your moves and zooms are jerky as heck -- this might be a way to cheat on your web videos. Pretty Neat. The first low cost animation I've seen for video. Oh yeah-one more thing. My first video clip in this sequence is a time lapse piece. Unless you invest in some very complex and expensive gear it is darn near impossible to do moves and zooms while you are shooting time lapse. Again, a poor man's solution for web videos and DVD's.
I liked music! Who's the author ?
