I'm hoping a new source from this show surfaces in the future. There had to be more than 1 taper in this huge crowd.

For die hard fans only - like me. All you haters are fat from to much sugary pop these days.

I'm sure the band would have a good piss on this one. I mean really....

Holy shit I can't listen to this! No offense to anybody, but it's way too muffled to comfortably enjoy. I can't even imagine how hard core fans would be able to sit through it apart from purely for observing?

the song wasn't even properly finished yet + the recording is horrible but to me it's gold <3

not to be a douchebag, but this kind of stuff is so hard to come by that its monumental they have it, the first live performance of immigrant song? I mean this is awesome to me, even if the quality is pretty bad. Its not about quality its about the music, and it sounds so cool played live for the first time :D

@Bootleder Seriously, you know they taped sooo much...prob all sitting in Jimmy's garage. I'm still waiting for the complete pro video from the Aussie gigs to show up and LA 1977. In most audience photos/8mm you can see camermen behind the band on stage

The sound quality doesn't diminish the historic significance of this recording.

I don't think this is good track. I love this song and can't believe this got posted.

Plant is sooo often the loudest thing on stage on so many recordings...yeah the pic's are awesome.

I think some bootlegs shouldn't be posted. Ouch!

certainly this is recorded with bad mic or whatever, it's not master it's some mic like from audience... :S too bad i hoped for a better sound...

@Chacky92 There's no much better audio for this gig out there. Just figure holding up a cheap microphone on a rainy windy weekend and taping a show from pretty far away on a reel to reel... you can't expect much.
Look beyond the quality, focus on the music.

At least we have something, but I really wish Eddie Kramer was there, some how, recording this epic performance.

Oh yes! Eddie & crew were there recording the performance on Soundboard, Multitrack and VIDEO.
None of those has popped up so far, it's the holy grail of Zep bootleg collecting right now.

How do you know, Bootleder? Has Eddie ever said this in an interview??

I could bring you tons and tons of proof, starting that there are a lot of extra mic's at this concert, pictures of cameramen on stage and more.
It just was.
