S-75 Air Defence Missile System

Since 1957, the various modifications of S-75 air-defence missile system were delivered more than in 40 countries of the world. The system well has recommended itself in real battle conditions, especially during the American aggression in Vietnam. In July, 1965 three rockets had been brought down three aircrafts "Phantom". In Vietnam the systems have brought down all about 2000 aircrafts , including more than 60 planes B-52.

With S-75 missile russians and vietnamese shot down around 2.000 american airplanes in vietnam war. Of which were 60 B-52's.

It is very good and effective misile. By the first use of this misile, three misiles downed three american airplanes. As you see, 100% reliability.

@vlad5548 They shot down a lot of airplanes, but They had to use up A LOT of missiles, you're wrong on the 100% reliability. The kill to fail ratio is 1 kill per 30 launches.

No I mentioned it because it seems it was the last confirmed success of a S-75 akaik. It doesn't really matter what plane downed...

Shot down quite a few planes, I should say. Though I guess a US F-14 is more impressive than some. I wonder what they were shooting at in this video? A drone? Or did they just self-destruct. I don't see much point in that. I wonder why they move in such "squiggily" lines? Is that a tracking thing maybe?
