I'm not knocking this guy's riding in the least, he and his horse were amazing and I am nowhere near their level, which may be why I don't know the answer to my question. Why is it that almost none of the professional riders keep their weight in their heels, when that's what's been drilled into me from the start for safety and balance purposes? Isn't weight in the heels supposed to give you better balance, and wouldnn't these guys need it more than anyone since the jumps are so big? plz, anyone?

Does anyone know what breed the horse is? I think he looks like an Akhal Teke, but I can't say for sure...:'D
